Silvi is still looking for a home. She entered the refuge January 2016 and we think she was born around January 2014. Silvi is a Podenco and another casualty of the cruelty bestowed upon these wonderful dogs here in Spain, cast aside when they are no longer wanted because they cannot live up to the expectations of the hunter.
Life has been hard for her as not only has she been abandoned but she has Leishmaniasis - but this must not mean she cannot be given a chance . She needs a family who will understand her needs and understand about living with dogs with Leish. She only needs 1 tablet a day for this.
As you can see she is very tender, affectionate and is very sociable as all Podencos are. The refuge is no place for her as our winters are harsh and the summers very hot. Silvi needs the love and care that a family can provide in a safe and permanent home Please help us look after her until we can find her a home.
