DIY SOS

The GPAR refuge in Rute needs some work doing to make the refuge winter proof. Over the next few weeks we will be asking for volunteers to help us make some big changes before the winter comes, plus possible donations of materials – watch this space.
The Town Hall has given the refuge some extra land to use which is FANTASTIC! All we need to do is clear and prep it for a delivery of stones so it doesn’t get muddy in the winter.

We are looking for willing volunteers to help with the land clearance in the first instance, and later with the spreading of the stones, once they have been delivered.

Please ensure you are fit for what will be reasonably physical work, although any amount of time helping will be appreciated. Sturdy boots or wellies are a must.

We will also need tools - spades, shovels, hoes, rakes, and the odd petrol strimmer /brush cutter may also come in handy, all will be appreciated. If you can’t come and do the work but have anything you could loan for the day please contact Carlos.

This is all happening on MONDAY 31ST OCTOBER
From 10 to 1 (at the latest, no worries if you have to leave early)
Meeting at 10 at Perros Chulo in Rute
Contact Carlos Molina Garcia by text or Whatsapp on 666016399 to confirm your attendance.
