BLANCA entered the refuge on 31/03/2016.
BLANCA - is another one of our dogs that has a sad story to tell but thankfully she is now safe and waiting for someone to fall in love and give her a lovely home. She was thrown out of a car in the town - someone saw it happen but too late to notice who. They contacted us to help and from that time, for the next 3 months she was wandering the streets of Rute as no one was able to catch her. We had many people out looking and helping and she was sighted every day - people left out food but it was impossible to catch her as she was so frightened and kept moving from area to area and would not get within 2 meters of anyone. After 3 months we were called and told that a man had been able to gain a little trust and was able to touch her - he had worked hard on this and it is thanks to him that BLANCA was able to be caught. We were lucky enough to find a foster home here where she is now safe and cared for. She has gained weight and she is a completely changed dog, more confident and affectionate and very beautiful. And she is fine with cats too!
We want to find a good family and a forever home for her as she deserves this after all she has been through.
